SPG bonus of 30K is back!

It looks like the Amex SPG 30k signup is back which is as good as it gets I believe. I was notified by email of the offer for my amex personal card via the refer a friend feature. Meaning I can refer the 30k offer to friends for the personal spg card. It seems like people with the business card can do the same. Its 3k required spend for the personal card and 5k spend for the business card. Spend must be met within 3 months. I can see the same business offer on the amex website. Since I have the personal spg card I can not see if they have the same offer listed on the website as they do via the refer a friend feature, but I think it is likely they have same offer on their website for personal card as well.

I think its a nice added bonus, since spg points are worth more on average than TYP, UR, or MR...all depends on how you spend/earn.... I would like to have some in my stash one day....

Theres also a 5k referral bonus wiki going around too, not sure if thats allowed here but its all over the web.

Great combo would be that and the PRG...

Just saw that offer today along with their new card design on the website. If anyone plans on applying, now would be a good time. Annual fee of $95 is waived the first year too.

so since we can be chatty kathy here without repercussions, can i just say this...

i was planning a trip with two people.  and basically the richest person was under the assumption it was going to be a nearly free/cheap trip for them because of me using points! I am just laughing so hard at this person because I have tried I dont know how many times to get them earning points...they have scores around 790 and cards with 20-40k limits too....  Sorry charlie, if we are covering the hotel and rental car, you're gonna be paying for all the gas, food, and train tickets....even doing that they would still be coming out ahead and saving over 60% on costs!!!! (resting b@#$% face).
