I logged in tonight and it offered me an upgrade for my Amex Green to Hilton Surpass card. I thought it was interesitng they were going upgrade a charge to a credit card. I also have an Amex Hilton so then I would have two Hilton cards? That does not make sense. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Are you sure it's not just an offer to apply for a new card? Screenshot?

Interesting. Either that's a glitch in their system or they are starting to allow changes from charge to revolver cards.
WOW congrats on the upgrade offer, maybe Amex is celebrating getting hilton exclusively credit wise now that citi is out with hilton!! The hilton AF is cheaper than the Green card no?
That is so odd and has to be a glitch! Even as recently as a few months ago, Amex wouldn't even PC revolvers from one family to the other (like Blue to BCP), and they've never let people PC between charge and revolvers before. I would love to PC my PRG to a BCP or a cobranded card; as it is, I'm thinking of closing what was my daily driver for about 13 years.
As a side note, here's a first... Under Amex Offers on my Blue card, I actually have a preapproval for the Blue Cash Everyday (not an upgrade, but another card). Not interested, but it's definitely targeted as the signup bonus is $150 instead of $100 and it has a fixed APR:
Earn $150 back after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. You will receive the $150 back in the form of a statement credit.†
NO ANNUAL FEE¤
APR
0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months, then a variable rate, currently 13.74%.¤
I guess I could make room for it in my signature if I took that seedling away? Joking of course. Usually offers like that pop up at the top of the screen for me, so I just thought it was odd that it was buried under Amex Offers. Back to the OP, I think it's a glitch and they want to upgrade your existing Hilton card.
