Amex Zync Approval

Woohoo!  Got approved for an Amex Zync - no preset limit charge card.  Anyone know how long I should use it before applying for an additional AMEX?

IMO, as long as those scores are FICO scores then I would say go ahead and apply now.

Congrats !!

By another card you mean an AMEX revolver?

If your siggy shows the EX FICO, you're good for a BCE or even BCP I would say.

Re: Amex Zync Approval

Congrats - I really like my Zync card and one of my daughers is an AU on the card to help her get started.

I think a nice combo is the Zync and the BCE. Others may argue that but you would be in with Amex with the lowest AF card and a pretty decent cash back card. I have heard if you act quickly, they will use the same "pull"...

I had the Green as well as the Gold card, but could not justify the costs associated. So, I stick with the Zync.

If you are inclined, give it a shot and let us know how it works out for you.

The card I really want is the BCP, I buy lots of gas and groceries... but I chickened out because they only pre-approved me for gold and zync.  I heard once you have an AMEX if you app for another they only soft pull you unless you get approved, then it becomes a hard pull.  Is that true?

I also heard that they send everyone who apps a free fico score.  I am using USAA monitoring so I get a FAKO plus score - I have no Idea what my actual FICO is, and it would be nice to know.

Re: Amex Zync Approval

Thanks for all of your replies...    Hope yer all happy, you inspired me to app for the BCP too.  Figured might as well get the inquiry out of the way and be clean by next year.  I got this message:

"Sorry - we're currently experiencing some difficulties with our systems.
Your application will be processed as soon as possible, and we will notify you of the decision by mail within 14 days."

I'm going to guess Approved.  You'll get the email two days later.

Re: Amex Zync Approval

I'm not sure. However when I apped for my gold card I got the same message.  They didn't have a record of me apping for a full day, so I went for Zinc and BCE instead getting approved for both.  Then two days later I got an email saying the Gold card was approved as well.  Worked out well for me in the sense that I needed a card for company expenses that are PIF every month by the company and now I can use Zinc only for myself, but very bad in that I ate TWO hard pulls back to back.
