Sure. Their Credit Reporting department is a nightmare to work with, if the front line CSR can't resolve the issue.

- My Mercedes AmEx isn't reporting (opened in August)

- Called the Credit Reporting department. They can only seem to find your AmEx account via your social security#, and credit card #. Note: Not an issue, as had I called them.

- After providing both my Social & CC #; they said they needed to open a ticket, as a 'Manager' needed to research why it's not reporting, and get back to me.

- I asked to be transferred to the Manager. No dice, they can't seem to put you in touch with one, without opening a ticket to have one call you back.

- 2 days later, I received a call from the Manager. He called me, yet hadn't even looked into the matter, because he couldn't find my account without my social & CC #.

- I explained that: 1) I already provided that 2 days prior & 2) as a general policy, I refuse to give out that information to anyone calling me, from a number I don't recognize. In fact, I think it's unnacceptable for them to even ask, when I was not the pone that initiated the phone call.

- The Manager explained that per policy, the front line CSR can't document the social & CC# in the escalation.  Note: This is generally a good thing. But seriously, at least include a way to identify my account, if you have to have a situation investigated.

- Since the escalation had no information about me, the Manager hadn't even started to look into the issue.

- I called back the next week, and explained everything to another front line CSR. But they were also unable to put me through a Manager.

- The front line CSR even tried telling me that they weren't responsible for reporting the Mercedes AmEx, because it was a Mercedes branded card.

- I called the CSR on that, since it's BS. AmEx issues the card themselves, and I manage it directly through my AmEx online access.

- They said they'd open a ticket, to have a Manager call me back. Which, naturally put the scenerio right back to to the same unacceptable scenerio.

So, in the end, no progress has been made; and it left an overall horrible impression of their ability, to even remotely resolve less than basic issues.

Other than that experience, they've been great.

Re: Amex Zync Newbie

My Zync is quickly becoming my favorite card. I never thought I would want to use my Zync card. It's like I got it finally and was so used to using my BofA 1-2-3 card that I said I got this card and now I don't need it. But I'm finding more and more reasons to use it. Love this card! This card grows with you. I orignally started with getting declined on the check your spending tool for $800 purchases after 3 months of steady use I now get approved for $3000 purchases! Did I mention I love this card???

Current Scores: EX - 728 FICO (5/11/13) TU - 771 FICO (7/02/13) EQ ??
