Amex Zync Question

Hello All!
I've read numerous threads on here regarding the fate of Zync. I have one and haven't received any notices other then the Zync packs are discontinued with a refund for the fees. Here's my question: is there any definitive info received stating that the reward MRE points are going away for purchases? If so, when? Thanks to all who respond. :-)

Starting Score: 642
Current Score: EQ 773, EX 780, TU 777 (All FICO)
Goal Score: 800+

Cards: NFCU Flagship 50K, DC 30K, BCP 28.6K, Arrival+ 25K, Citi DP 22.8K, CSR 20.5K, TotalRewards 25K, QuickSilver 20K

There has been no difinitive information stating the MRe points will stop being earned on zync... which is the main reason I plan to keep mine indefinately.

Its nice having an extra charge card that earns 1 pt per dollar spend, with a $40  AF  ($25 AF + $15AF for ACM)

I have PRG, so MR points are earned instead of MRe points.

If you have another AMEX charge card, they convert to standard MR points.  Mine converted/supplemented my Gold MR points that I had accumulated.  Don't know if that would apply if you PC from Zync to another charge, my guess is, you'll lose MRE points.  But if you apply for a 2nd AMEX charge and NOT PC, then I think the MRE points will convert to MR points.

Re: Amex Zync Question

Thanks everyone for the info. My MRE points convert to MR because of my PRG. I'm just trying to decide if I should axe the Zync. If the reward pts are discontinued, I won't keep this card. I read somewhere that someone received info saying that they were doing away with rewards on this card. I was just curious. :-)

Re: Amex Zync Question

i too have not gotten any offical notice that the pts will stop and i have the NPSL version. i plan on keeping mine till they either stop the pts or hike the fee up. i only got it to get in with amx, once i get one of their revolvers i will likely drop it.  its seeing less use these days now the packs are no more, im hoping that doesn't hurt my profile w/ them. i plan on apping for BCE or BCP eventually,i think fall or early next yr.
