Congrats on the card! Just as a general heads-up, it does look like many of the people who have been recently hammered by AmEx did "product changes." They're awfully antsy these days. You might want to seriously think about using the Delta for 6 months, showing them that you're responsible, and then swapping.

What CL did you get? Congrat on getting "in" with AMEX! I am waiting till 6.16.08 and then apporama: Amex, Citi, chase, you name it!
Just so you realize that AmEx will absolutely soft you AFTER you get a card from them, and if they think that you then went on and got a bunch of additional credit, that card might be gone before you ever see it.
I just picked up a Gold Rewards Plus card a couple of days ago, a month after my app frenzy. Granted, this is a charge card rather than one of their very scary revolvers, but I figured that my scores and reports are as awful now as they're ever going to be. So if they approved me after looking at this steaming mess, there's not anything else I plan to do that could worry them. Just a thought.

I noticed that after I got a Delta card and made multiple charges and payments they seemed to loosen up a bit and gave me a Clear and a Green.

Yeah I have no problem using the delta for a few months and asking later, my question is that will they switch the account to the new card or ask me to apply for a new one altogether. I've had US Bank do this with my student visa to a platinum visa. However Cap1 said they can't do this, BoA also said the same thing. So if asking right off the bat means getting a blue I'd rather do it now than later.Do you all think they'll give me problems later or no? Either way I'm just happy to have an Amex now.
