You will probably get accepted for an Amex charge card. Also I would say eh on the CSP but you have a Freedom for 6 months which shows some history with Chase. Have you done the Chase pre-qualification tool?

I am thinking about apping for CSP and an AMEX around June. I have a BK from 07, my EX and TU are around 640, hoping they will go up a bit when I pay off my cards next month.
My plan is -
Pay off all cc next month (leaving a small balance to report on Chase)
Work on a SP CLI on one of my Cap One cards, NFCU and my Walmart card in April
My Freedom will be 6 months old in June
App for CSP and AMEX Gold in June
App for Amex Blue Cash in January
Thoughts/suggestions? I really don't need a charge card but I've read it's easier to get your foot in the door with Amex on a charge card then move to revolver.
did the BK involve AMEX? and if so, was it payed off?

Nope, I've never had a personal AMEX card. I have 2 corporate ones for work but that's it.

AS long as your income is good, I'd say you have a 70/30 chance in my opinion
I have a BK7 from '07, and Chase denied me for a CSP. At the time I apped, I had Discover w/CL $6.5K and Barclays Rewards MC cl $5.2K. I called to recon but was still denied. As with all credit it's a YMMV, but I would advise staying away from Chase for anotheer year.

I make 60k so hopefully that's fine for them. Thanks for your input!

I was denied by Discover and Barclay last year, but was able to get my Freedom on recon in December. I bank with Chase as well so I am hoping that helps. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Sharing experiences is what myFICO is for.
Credit is so fickle. I also bank with Chase, but that didn't help. Discover It and Rewards MC were instant approvals. I had to verify some info for the Arrival card that is about 2 wks old. It would have been nice to have one of the other Chase cards, but the 2 Barclay cards will serve me well. The spend for the 40K bonus miles on Arrival is 1/3 of the CSP and it's a stright 2% accross the board, so no tracking categories![]()
Best of luck whatever you decide to do.
