I've been reading and have seen conflicting details regarding Amex bonuses. I've read that the new Amex policy is 1 bonus, per card "per lifetime"...but the Amex app site says "If we identify you as currently having an American Express® Card account, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had this product." ...so which is true?
I currently have the Gold Delta but I'm now interested in the Platinum Delta. Would I qualify for the 5000 mqm + 35000 miles bonus if I apply, instead of requesting a product upgrade?
Just a little disclaimer, I'm not interested in churning. I just realized that the Platinum works better for me and it would be nice to gain the bonus

AFAIK, you are eligible for the bonus from the Platinum card. Just the same as I got the bonuses fir both the Gold PRG and Platinum charge cards. They're two different products. The best way to confirm though is to sign onto your account and go to chat.
How long ago did you apply for either of those cards? I read this bonus policy change was implemented sometime in 2014. I'll be sure to ask chat. Thanks
