Amex fr

Hey guys, wanted to clarify something, is it usually over $25,000 cl across multiple cards that Amex wants a fr or is it usually when you go over $25, 000 on one card?

Re: Amex fr

You can get FR'd even with a 1000$ CL. What are you talking about is their request for IRS form 4056T.

Re: Amex fr

What you are talking about is really just income verification. Amex, like any lender, can ask for income verification at any CL. It just depends on the customer and his/her profile.

I have seen people go above 50k CL without ever being asked for docs. On the other hand there are multiple instances where people were asked to submit docs even at just 1k CL.

Cap1, chase, citi, BofA, discover, etc all do income verification from time to time as well.

Re: Amex fr

I know NFCU wont go above $25K without any type of income verification. It is a very common thing.

Re: Amex fr

iBmrad7, when they initiate a financial review, they do ask for that form.

They indeed do but that's not what OP was referring to.

Re: Amex fr

guys, thanks for the replies, but what im asking is this...

I have read on these boards, that when going for the amex 3x61 cli, that if you go over $25000 that is when they most likely will want a proof of financials, so what im asking is, only for amex, is that $25000 "line" over multiple cards or is per card?

like if I have a BCP with a $20000 CL and I get a delta gold with a $10000 line, that would put me at $30000, will that trigger a financial review or does it have to be over $25000 on a single card?

Re: Amex fr

No it may not trigger a financial review just because you are >25k on one card or on all cards. Financial review CAN happen anytime at any CL, even at just 1k CL. For some people it may not happen at all, even when they go above 50k CL on one and/or all Amex cards.

Its always going to be a YMMV situation.

Re: Amex fr

Ok, I understand but why does everyone say when going for 3x61 not to ask for over twenty-five thousand?
