Amex not reporting limits = serious point loses

Amex plat as far as I can tell does not report limits, granted the card limit is "no preset limit" but depending on how much you use the card compared to your other available credit from other cards this can seriously cost you 10-30points.

Question is, has anyone been able to get amex to report some kind of limit?

Thanks

PS Props to capone they started reporting its been posted here

Dispute it.

with no preset limit I'm assuming it's a net 30 card or PIF as ppl say here

if this is the case, dispute it saying it a charge card  not a revolving account this is a CRA mistake

These type of cards are suppose to report as other open accounts and if reported this way, will not factor in util% calculations.

Fused, I just got EX to correct mine.  They coded my AmEx Platinum as "Revolving Charge Account " with 1 month term.  Now it does now show as a revolving account.

Ready? Smiley Very Happy

I got my updated report through CreditSecure as usual, detected all inacuracies & followed the link to do an online dispute from withing CreditSecure at EX Site.  I marked each of the problem areas and added notes explaining what was wrong.  They corrected all of my request in 1 day.  I requested last wednesday, changes apeared on thursday and i got the investigation results on Friday.

Pretty good I say.  I was shocked as in the past i had to wait 30 - 90 days.  Sometimes i even forgot about it and all of a sudden i got an email about my dispute results Smiley Happy.

Give it a shot if you have anything to correct.

EX has been reporting my Gold card revolving since I opened the account. I have disputed and disputed w/o success. An MOV/ITS letter has been received and I am going nail their a$$es! Something so simple to fix and they won't do it.

Fused, i would recommend doing exactly what I did. Make sure that you include the following in your description as i did. Lots of times it seems like they don't understand what you really want.

The following accound is incorectly coded as "Credit Card - Revolving Terms".  The account should be marked as "Revolving Charge Account " or "Charge Account" with Terms= 1 Month.

The above worked for me, and I had tried before and failed when the account had just started reporting.

Do it though CreditSecure.  It's nice and easy.  I also noticed the url was unique for creditsecure customers. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Good Luck,
