Amex platinum requirements

Hey everyone! Cleaning up the last of my baddies and looking forward to getting this card! Never had Amex before. Wondering if people out there have this card and what the min requirements are to obtain.

It's not as hard as some think but Amex does own credit scoring with your EX so sometimes it's as good as anyone's guess

Some people say the UW is as same as other Charge cards like Green, so...

I don't think, credit requirement wise, there is much difference, if any, between the Green, Gold, PRG and Platinum.

Amex probably uses the "if they can afford to pay the annual fee, they probably should get it" mentality. Which makes sense. The Platinum is only worth getting if you travel a lot. And if you do, you probably either have a lot of money or have a well paying job. Either way, you should be a good customer.

However, outside of some of the travel related perks, there is very little difference between the different cards, especially in terms of spending power which is not really tied to the class of card, so the UW requirements to get the card don't need to be different. You could spend $25k a month on a Zinc, but might be limited to $10k on a Platinum.
