@supervelous wrote:Sigh....I was pretty happy getting approved for the BCP late last month, but so depressing to see the creditcards.com offer on Cardmatch. 12.99 APR and $250 Bonus. I got $150 bonus and I think a 19.99% APR for my BCP app'd through the AMEX site, as I didn't know about Cardmatch until after.
Does anyone know if you can have the BCE & BCP??
On the cardmatch website I see the 12.99 APr but it says "variable" so I am not sure people automatically get that APR if they apply and get approved.
Edit: Double posted in error: see below post. Mods, feel free to delete this one, not sure how to do it myself.
Well variable generally means it's tied to the prime rate or some other index, so if the prime rate goes up, your rate would as well. There are others cards listed on Cardmatch that are (variable) and have ranges (ex. 10.99 - 20.99 variable)
I aspire not to carry credit card balances, so the rate doesn't bother me as much as the $100 bonus difference.
Oh, so it doesn't mean the rate could be higher on the initial approval?

any think they amex would change the intro bonus offer to match?

I tried over phone and on chat and was told no to matching both times.

i doubt it since it's going to be a referral link if you applied from match...amex would see it...BUT you can always try with amex considering how great their customer service is they might let you do it
gl!

I was reading an article about this earlier. Amex used to frequently match offers if you found a better bonus after you applied, but then they changed and now rarely do it. Other card companies are a bit more forgiving.
They did it for me a few months ago via the online messaging system.
