Re: Amex question

Thanks... I already got the denial letter and the only reason stayed was because I'm on a debt management program but I'm really not so there's not really anything I can work on as far as the reasons they have me except to somehow prove to them I'm not on a DMP. Has anyone successfully done this before?

Re: Amex question

Call whoever issued the card and ask them to remove that from your CR. That's what I'm planning to do. Good luck!

i had an error on my CR as well back in 2011 when I applied, and AMEX told me to dispute/correct the info with the CRAs, and then reapply.

I had received a letter from the bank acknowledging the issue and also stating they had requested the CRAs to correct it, but it just wasn't updated yet when I applied for AMEX.

I offred to send the letter to AMEX, or even have Wells Fargo on the phone through a conference call, but they weren't interested. Simply told me to get the error fixed, and then reapply 30 days later or whenever it's updated.

Re: Amex question

I just filed a dispute with each of the 3 CRAs to have this comment removed from my Citi MC. I'm planning to app for the Costco Amex in January of next year and I don't want to get declined because of one little comment on my file.

Re: Amex question

Thanks for all the feedback I decided instead of calling in I'm just going to wait till November of this year to reapply therefore my newest accounts will all be one year old. Just in case they were to decide to open it for me I don't wanna take a hit to my AAOA cuz right now my AAOA is just over one year with my oldest account being just over 5 years.

Re: Amex question

Just curious.. From reading other posts on here I see most ppl receive their credit score on their Amex denial letters but there was not one listed on mine. Has anyone else gotten a denial from Amex with no score? I was hoping I'd at least get my ex fico out of the hp!!
