I will wait until 7th statement cut and if nothing happens I will take it to CFPB because Amex reps know nothing about credit steps so if I want someone to actually look into the matter I would have to go through CFPB because for some inquiries (questions) lenders will ignore you but once they receive an official complaint they actually look into it. My and my friends had success with CFPB after customer service proved to be useless in our situation.
Email flat out states if you recieved a CLI prior to the six month review, you lose out on that review.
Another poster copied your statement of a 3x CLI 2 months after opening.
Youve recieved a CLI.
Therefore you, according to THEIR email, are not entitled to another one.
Also, Credit Steps is a Capital One product/offering. Youre calling the Amex version by that name, and for all you know their CSRs have no idea what youre talking about because youre calling it that.
Read the email to the CSR verbatim.
Op..
There seems to be a pattern with your postings..... Really think you need to stop trying to lash out at folks trying to help you and explain how things work.... And things will work themselves out.... You dont like being questioned or folks checking for themselves on things... and you want it now.... And running to a complaint when perhaps all it is is a matter of a little time in getting your CLI, which you have basically told us you might have disqualified yourself for... is childish and entitlement issues... CCC owe you nothing... these are guidelines and they can do whatever the heck they want .. Still feel theres a good chance youll see something with the next statement or a few days after....
Again.. Credit is a marathon not a sprint... and temper tantrums do not help your credit report... Listening and heeding folks constructive advice and patience CAN help your CR and get you where you want to be...
Hope you can learn from your experience or you may end up worse than you started with the haste....

CFPB is having a hard enough time dealing with legitimate problems while getting their funding slashed. Don't waste their time and resources with something this frivolous. There is nothing legally binding in that email.
There is a difference between discussing something, trying to give constructive advice. and people taking sides without really addressing the issue. If someone doesn't have value to add to a topic why bother and reply.
We are here because we help and want to be helped. people aggressively dismissing others and taking sides when they have nothing really to gain out of it is really not the purpose of this forum.
I have seen people offering awesome advice here. I even send them direct messages sometime. On the other hand I have seen people posting wrong information. My topic was actually adressed to people who received the same email so that they can share their experience. And then people who are not on the same boat jumped on it.
Sounds like Op has his mind made up... if you think your wronged, why keep the card? I dont think complaining about what you think you should get is going to get you anywhere. If I thought I was wronged, I would go somewhere else, especially with your scores... good luck!
I never received a cli on my card.
I am sure there is some sort of a confusion.
The topic has been well-covered and everything that can be said has been, so the thread is now closed to new messages.
