Since I always see a lot of members stating you have to wait until 2 months after a charge to see if your getting bonus points for a certain charge.
This has now changed. You are able to see if a purchase was in a bonus category 1-2 days after the charge posts to your account.
To access this
Login to Amex on a computer
Click the card you want.
Click on statements and activity
Below the pie graph ( on the right hand side)
There is a button that says Preview new version.
Click that button.
Now you can click on each charge and it will bring up several boxes. Once the charge has been posted for roughly 1-2 days. There is a box for membership rewards points. It will show you the bonus if the transaction was eligible.
I’ve noticed a time lag between posting of charges and the MR points box appearing. Seems to be about a day for me after the charge posts before the box will appear.
I only have MR cards and a Delta gold.
I can not confirm this works for the cash back cards but I would imagine it would.

Works better than the itinerary on this charge (should be BOS-LHR and LHR-BOS, not BOS-BOS and BOS-LHR). I am not happy that there is no running total for charges on the new version, though. Makes it a pain for calculating YTD spending on a card, or spending since a specific date for bonuses.
