Annoyed w/ PNC App

So I have/had cards from over 10 issuers.  Most allow their cardholders to pay via their respective App.  

 
However, with my PNC card (from the BBVA days) paying through the PNC app is forbidden unless you have a PNC DDA.   While I have known this since the BBVA acquisition, it is kinda of a nuisance.

So just wondering which other issuers have the same restrictive parameters of only accepting same bank for payments through their App?

Kinecta Credit Union (which I otherwise LOVE) doesn't yet allow you to pay your CC from an external account.

Nope. Very frustrating. 

I have to either:

1. Transfer money from an external account into my Kinecta Savings, and then pay the cc; or

2. Make the payment by check at one of their ATMs; or

3. Make the payment in person at a branch. 

Fortunately, there is a Kinecta branch next to my gym...but the idea of writing a check gives me a rash. 🤣

I love Kinecta, but wish they would fix this.

That is some commitment there for that card.  At least I can pay mine with any outside account via the full PNC website.

When PNC bought BBVA I had high hopes... ideally they would have taken the best of BBVA and combined it with the best of PNC which would have been pretty good.

But that's not what happened.

Basically BBVA disappeared altogether, and PNC just took over all the BBVA accounts as if they had always been PNC.
