Another Discover Graduation

8th statement cut on the 6th. My first statement was in March for Feb 25th - March 6th 2018.

Graduation was at 1am October 10th — I logged in and noticed an increase from my starting $300 deposit to $1000 and the request credit increase link doesn’t take me to that page telling you to call in to deposit more money etc

I didn’t use the card much since I have other cards but I did put about 2000$ through it in that 8 months.

Starting TU FICO was 627 it’s now at 698 always paid before statement cut never left a balance ever. Only thing that confuses me is why is took 8 statements when I’ve seen people with lower scores graduate at 7 statements.

Only derog I have is a 5 year old account I closed with multiple lates. 19/9/11 inq, 20 accounts opened within the last 2 years, 37% uti because of a maxed out authorize user account which is being removed 🤦🏽‍♂️

Any other info I’m missing?

Edit: The greed in my heart told me to ask you guys if I can request an increase now or should I wait?

Re: Another Discover Graduation

Congrats on your grad!

The greed in my heart says ask for the cli now. All they can say is yes or no! It won’t hurt either way. Good luck!

Re: Another Discover Graduation

Congrats on the graduation!!  The refund check usually comes really fast, YMMV.  Enjoy your new limit.

Re: Another Discover Graduation

OP, it is really inconsequential regarding the graduation timeframe that occurred for your specific account versus other individuals. There's plenty of other individuals whose accounts take longer than a year, for instance. So, comparing your timeline/scores with others is a futile exercise - every profile is different.

As far as CLI, no surprise on the outcome since it appears they just automatically granted one associated with the CC graduation. Since the CLI requests are SP, try again in the future.

Re: Another Discover Graduation

Congrats on making it to unsecured!

I'm in a similar position to where you are, I'd say wait at least 3 months before asking for a CLI. Some do it every month, but I think it's a good idea to keep yourself humble.
