Just received an email from Amex about getting 5% back at whole foods, same thing as last time but this time this offers end in feb... Might have to stop by whole food just to get a quick ore made sandwich lol.
This forum is all about CC knowledge, but how about some Whole Foods knowledge? I don't shopt at Whole Foods, but I have a friend who does the following. At the hot bar, apparently you pay for food by the pound and it is possible to load up a box of cooked bacon. He pays for 1 lb. of cooked bacon gets the equivalent of maybe 4-5 lbs. of uncooked bacon. That's 5x rewards! Combine that with 5% on the Amex and the rate is off the charts!
No wonder their prices are so high.

Let me assist.
On Wednesdays at my local Whole Foods is when both the hot and cold bar are 2 bucks off per pound. Some days you may want ignore value shopping and get a hefty plate of carne asada, rice, beans, and avocado, money be dammed. But if you want to be frugal you may consider the weight to value ratio. The humble mushroom is light yet valuable. The hearty cauliflower or water soaked kidney bean are heavy and cheap. Apply you fixins accordingly. I recommend loads of cilantro as its almost weightless.
Sometimes they have some good beers on sale.

There's been an offer since Nov for 2% extra till feb 15 (so 8% on BCP, 7% on BC and 5% on BCE). Is this what you are referring to?
I saw this offer, it was on my BCE homepage since November. However, 5% doesn't make up for the fact that Whole Foods is too expensive for me haha
