Good info, denbar.

I am assuming then, that Amex reports their charge cards correctly, because they show up as "Other" and not as "Revolving", and therefore don't get included in utilization calculations.

This would also lead me to believe that FICO probably does handle this type of account correctly, as long as it is reported correctly in the first place.  If it's not reported correctly, then it's treated as just another revolving account.

Which is why I'm confused about DW's signature card, because it shows up in the "other" category (in TC anyway) and it reports the credit limit.  Seems like it should be one or the other.  Or maybe the limit really doesn't matter if it's reported in the other category.  When I pull my scores and reports next I will make sure to update everyone who's interested on how the untility is actually calculated.

Re: Another signature card question

krystofur--
Looks like I missed out on all of the fun today.  From what I've heard from other Signature cardholders, sometimes what occurs is that the credit limits are reported, but the account types are designated as "open."

We'll wait to see what happens when you next pull and examine your reports.

Re: Another signature card question

My Signature card was reporting inconsistently on the 3 CRs.  I disputed it with Chase, and supposedly it's been corrected.  I'll let you know next week when I get scores and CRs.

I often times wonder what I really contribute to these forums.  Sometimes I think that I'm just here to represent upper middle class FICO "high achievers."

You've helped me to understand my situation a lot!  I won't claim upper middle class status, but I will admit I'm the kind of person who thinks 760 just isn't high enough for me.  I won't be happy until all my scores are 800 plus!  Especially since DW's scores are 10 points higher then mine.  Smiley Tongue
