All I have to say is good luck talking to Capital One.
When you find a CSR that can actually comprehend what you're trying to say, let me know.
I haven't found one yet.

I think i have one of there beginner cards that may not see a CLI if i do it will be very little. I really don't care either way.
Today I had an interesting experience with Cap 1. I recieved 3 checks in the mail from Cap 1 called purchase checks. One was written out to me for $400 and the other 2 were blank. I didnt know what they were so I called CS and asked. The guy I talked to was an idiot. He never heard of these types of checks and he claimed he couldnt find anything in the system saying they sent me some checks. I asked him "Well why dont you ask your supervisor"? He then puts me on hold for 10 MINUTES!!!! So when he comes back he tells me to destroy them b/c he cant find anything on them. Mind you now the hold time I was on hold he thought he muted me out but I could hear him laughing his a$$ off with his fellow coworkers about my CL! Can you believe that? I finally hung up on the jerk and called back to speak with a manager who explained that the checks can be used with your credit line. Why was that so hard to explain. I hate CAP 1.

Update: I talked back to Cap 1 and they said that I will recieve a CLI from 750 to 1000 next month. Yahoooooooo!
I am glad you where able to work this out. They are doing CLI's so keep after them
After I added my post today, I decided to validate my opinion of Capital One; so I called them and requested a CLI (Using the so called back-door number). Can you guess what the result was? If you guessed NO CLI, you are correct.
Today's call was a bit more interesting as the first CSR went through the motions and could do nothing so he transferred me to a senior, senior, senior, executive CSR. This person went through exactly the same motions as the first not-so-senior CSR. Surprise, still no CLI and no reasonable explanation as to why not.
As mentioned earlier, I cannot close the account due to average account age; but that does not mean I have to use the card. It's time for the sock drawer for sure.
