my account still says platinum mastercard online, just quicksilver rewards were added to it 6 months ago. I have heard different things, it might be a to each their own situation. not sure, but I never thought about how maybe u can convert plat mc to quicksilver if qualified but once you get qs1, you are left with that card?

Thats what has me kind of confused right now. My Platinum was converted to a QS via the FB option a few weeks ago. Seems strange that the QSO doesnt have the same capability. The card they sent is definitely a QS but it does still say Platinum MC on my account even though the rewards are listed and the picture changed to a QS. I think the name will eventually be correctly online........maybe

Re: Any luck converting QuickSilverOne to QuickSilver via online chat?

A few months back, I saw a thread on here of people with quicksilverone cards who were upgraded to world elite mastercards out of the blue. Maybe because I never applied for quicksilver, just have the rewards... I am stuck with crappy platinum mc.

qso can never convert into a QS.  However, you can get the AF removed from the qso very easy by going thru the EO and why not try a cli while you are at it. And to be honest if you shop at sams club the qso with the mastercard is much better because they dont take visa.

So the Platinum MC can convert to QS but the QSO cant?

I have never had a platinum MC so i cant comment on that but the EO told me that my QSO can never convert to a QS card. But i pay no AF and i get to use it at sams club so i am happy Smiley Happy

You can change the name of the account yourself. Go to "Services" then click "Set Account Display Preferences". Just change the "nickname" of the account and it'll change the name on the account.

I PC'd my CapOne Platinum card to QS1 over chat with just having the Platinum card for about a week. I had to call about a week later and ask them to send me my new QS1 card, but it was no hassle at all.

Re: Any luck converting QuickSilverOne to QuickSilver via online chat?

I have gone the EO route before, I am going to just wait it out a few months and then email the EO. at that time my fico will be around 730 and I will either have sucess or close out capitalone and move on.

It was a private msg sent to their FB page. Didnt get into a ton of details just stated when I received the Platinum card, a little about my scores/history and how I would like to utilize my Capital One card more by converting it to a QS with a 1.5% rewards option. The representative responded within 20 minutes and then called me about 40 minutes after that. For whatever reason the robotic online chat representative couldnt see any offers for my account (if he even bothered to look) but as soon as the representative called from FB she said she had good news and could convert my card to a QS with no AF.
