Ditto, Privileges started reporting the 13k and other creditors became "less" driven to approve for higher limits!
Hmmm, wouldn't that also be pegged/correlated with income as well? Capacity tends to be part of the algorithm for some lenders but income/assets is one other factor. I was not given a low CL when I got approved for the OCCU Beaver card just last month, and my Privileges Cash Rewards was as visible as any of my other TLs with similar CLs.
@ Finstar I have no idea, now that DOMA was passed and I will file and live in a community property state that also recongizes my marriage. So, I dont know, now I can put 190K a year!! Yippie!
Though Chase approved my Ritz for 21k without question, they were the biggest line at the time of approval too. Perhaps the co-branded "easier" system? I put down 3k less than I actually made, always think any lender can sequester your spending and ask for tax returns, so in the event I prefer to devalue my actual earnings. Either way, its irrelevant.

This is awesome! See, now you have some leverage with the adjusted income for future CLIs. Glad to hear!

This appears to be the trend with Chase's co-branded products; like the Ritz, Hyatt, United, etc. Generally, CLs would start higher on them than Slate, Freedom and CSP.
@Fin I have a Ritz, and CSP would going for the Marriott be wise? Acquired both in September, and on the same pull......21 Ritz, 8K CSP??
AAoA 4.4 years, 776 FICO Experian, 758 TU-per BarclayCard.......Likely they will pull either of those. Inqs on TU though....8 in past 12 months, EX 4....I want that Hyatt card too!

If you're going to test the waters, I would go for the Marriott Premier - decent sign-up bonus, but that's just me. Others, like longtimelurker, enharu or CreditScholar can provide their perspective as well. It also depends on which properties (Marriott or Hyatt) you stay the most and which locations have a better footprint worldwide based on your needs so as to maximize value potential.
Yes, it would appear EX or TU would likely be pulled (or both but maybe just one). Since you have acquired 2 Chase CCs in September, it's really not unheard of getting a 3rd Chase CC within a few months. However, it all depends on how close you are on reaching their internal limit or threshold with your current exposure.

The reason I liked it is that other lenders did not see the limit and I started to get double digit CLs...before everybody got me 5K the same as BofA....never had to consider a CLI either because it was fine for me like that. In 2014 I will now consider a CLI request with BofA to match my other limits. Utilization is no issue for me and these two cards were simply excluded...so nothing that would have done any damage...my average CL was higher before BofA started reporting
I think you're confused about credit cards that don't report limits but do report high balances with credit cards that don't report either. In the past, your BofA card would still affect overall utilization, with the high balance taken as proxy for credit limit. It is the first type. Charge cards such as the Amex PRG belong to the second category.
