Any way to prompt an Amex SP?

I applied for the BCP on March 14th and was approved for 2K.  Something hold me back (I think) was a state tax lien on EX that was paid 5.5 years ago (no other derogs).  My EX FICO was 704 at the time.  They SP'ed me on 3/18, 3/27 and 3/28 and nothing since then.  My EX score after my app spree jumped from 704 to 716 after all tradelines reported (with 1% overall util).  Today, I was miraculously able to get the tax lien deleted from my EX report about a year and a half early.  I paid for another score and it is now 788.  My 3X CLI is coming up on 5/25 and I really want them to have a fresh report/score on file before I ask for 6K.  An 84 point score increase should definitely increase my chances of approval.

Has anyone been able to figure out a way to give a SP a little push?  Anything I can do to prompt one?  I've tried the preapproval link twice from new browsers I just installed today and still get directed to log into my account so the "see your special offers" seems to be a no go for current members.  If there's no way to trigger a SP, I definitely plan to wait.  It would be very nice if they SP me again before my 61 days are up.

Thoughts?  Thanks everyone.

Re: Any way to prompt an Amex SP?

Have you checked all CB's they may have SP'ed others

They tend to SP a lot

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

If i understand you correctly you want to get sp cli in addition to your 3x cli thats coming up on the 25th ? I am not sure you can do that. I am pretty sure when you initiate your 3x cli they do an sp to see if you are eligible for 3x. I am not an officianado on amex 3x cli tho.

Really?  I thought they stick with EX exclusively.  If that's the case, I'm good.  The tax lien was only on EX.  EQ and TU have been clean for months (791 and 757 respectively).

I checked EQ today and no SP from them on there.  I haven't checked TU because honestly I didn't think there was a chance in this world they'd be looking there.  Smiley Happy

Should I check TU?  And how does that work?  Do they use the very last SP and score they have on file no matter the bureau?  Thanks, myjourney!

A 3X CLI does not prompt a new SP as I understand.  They'll simply use the last one they have on file and it could be a day old or two months old.  Since my EX score has increased drastically, my question is to see if there is anything I can do to get them to pull a fresh report without the tax lien and higher score.

I've seen them on EQ although rare

They use the last SP for CLI's so wait for them to update before requesting a CLI

This could be fun.   My luck, they won't SP me for months.  haha Smiley Happy

Re: Any way to prompt an Amex SP?

They will or could SP any of the 3 bureaus.

Their decision will be from the EX SP.
