Anyone else with a Macy's card please chime in :)

Payment was due 10/21 I paid on 10/17 but on my account page online it still has payment due 10/21 minimum payment 25.00

I am worried its going to screw up my ontime payments even though I already paid, is this a normal thing for Macy's to not update payment due?  All of my other cards once paid have due date and minimum amount due 0.00 after I have paid.  Last month when I paid Macy's had minimum due 0.00.

Kind of confused hoping its a normal thing I dont have another 25 to pay again within the next 15 minutes before today is over.  (found this out when I logged in to make sure everything posted when I got to work)

Thanks!

I hear Macy's does this quite often. Try call customer support to see what's going on, they might blame your bank for not releasing fund or something.

Payment was made on the 17th, it cleared my bank on the 20th and yesterday got a THANK YOU! for your payment email from Macys.

Ill give em a call tomorrow I guess, I just have a horrible time with phone I get soo aggravated when they dont understand my questions or give me scripted replys to something I never asked.

Thanks for input!  and thanks for answering within a few minutes Smiley Tongue

They are late updating on the site. My payment due date was 10/12. I paid on 9/27. My account didn't update everything until the day after the payment due date, but my available credit reflected the payment during the wait.

Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!

Yeah, Macy's is just very slow to update.  If you check under the "Recent Activity" button, you'll see the payment there.    Mine still shows that same message, even though I paid on the 10th and my statement closed on the 20th (statement still isn't up yet).

Re: Anyone else with a Macy's card please chime in :)

In the words of a Macy's rep when I had a similar concern, they really dont update ur minimum payment due even after a payment has been processed until the end of the billing cycle. As a matter of fact, the minimum due on my Jewelry account is $304 which I paid since 10/07 and it hasnt updated to reflect no payment due at this time. However I PIF the Revolving & AMEX side but those are showing correctly... so don't even worry about it so long as the payment has cleared your account.

Side note: a payment is not considered late on your credit report unless it is over 30 days late.

Absolutely right however a payment late even for one day might look very bad for internal purposes. A day late could trigger a hike in APR and lead to late fees being charged. But of course that don't reflect on the CR until it's 30days past due.
