Has anybody in the forum ever app'ed for the same credit card twice and got both applications approved?
If so, who was the lender or creditor, what was the card, was the applications approved instantly, how far apart did you submit both applications?
This is for informationonly for those persons that applied for say 2 Venture cards, 2 discovery cards, 2 amex everyday cards, etc. Identical cards with 2 approvalos from same lender within no more than 1 month apart from applications where both got approved for similiar credit lines.
Thanks,
Well I accidentally applied for the shell drive for five twice. When I submitted the first app I got a internet explorer error. So I called and citi had no record of app. So I applied again like 10 mins later. Same thing happened. So I said forget it. But low and behold I get a shell card in the mail. So I was like great it was approved. Then a day or two later I get another one. I was thinking of calling to cancel one. But then thought, I already took the hit might as well keep it.
I was thinking the same thing, I have a Chase Freedom card already and today I got an invitation to Chase Freedom Card in the mail today. I was wondering what would happened if I took the invite but didn't. Anybody knows what would of happened?
I apped for 2 home depot cards in the same day and got them, both personal accounts. I would go for it on the freedom card, if your inquiries are low you might get a verification email to call in, not one the negative connotation. If anything on calling in, you might be able to ask for CLI if they dont want to hand out another card. It's not unheard of for people to have 2 or 3 even 4 chase cards, but, they are different types. I myself have the amazon and the freedom--i just moved some credit limit off the amazon to chase freedom as i only use amazon for amazon.
I am not encouraging people to be innacurate, but if you have used nicknames on some accounts in the past or your middle name as a last name...and know your bureaus, that might work to your advantage. Remember a lot of places do soft pulls in house, or online via SCT. If your name doesnt match your reports, you dont get the popup? Might work the same way here. Mess up your name a little bit, keep SSN and mailing address the same obviously

I applied for and recieved 2 Bank of America Alaska Airlines Visa Signature cards one day, then about a week later applied for 3 more, all 5 were approved.

So did the guy from the million miles blog.
wow that is crazy, 5 cards. Did he do it on 2 different computers like he was trying to get concert tickets that sell out in 5 minutes?
Reminds me of a spy movie or nuclear missiles flick, with 2 arming keys, click submit on my mark...lol
Bank of America didn't seem to care for awhile, they are apparently starting to make it harder to get approved for multiples of the same card in short time spans now though.
