Hello everyone just would like some input about US Bank cards. Like is it a good bank, interest rates competitive, easy to qualify, decent SLs, good CLIs, I'm hoping to hear some opinions. Thanks so much!
This forum rocks!
US Bank is my mortgage lender and offered me the Altitude CC. Great card with a generous SL of $25k. As stated they are a relationship Bank with manual underwriting being a critical part of their lending practices. Once a positive relationship has been established a person has access to virtually any card they underwrite.
Ii would highly recommend US Bank to anyone who has the potential of starting a meaningful financial relationship.
2 things I really like!!! Free checking with CC (Cali) and the Cash+ 5% .....oh and jus heads up they are HP trigger happy rep may say no it's not a HP ..and it is

I have become a fan of US Bank. They purchased my mortgage in September, and they have been very generous with me. I do think they are definitely a relationship bank. Once they acquired my mortgage, I obtained the Cash + and Platinum with very generous starting limits (both $15k) and opened a Platinum Checking (no fees). I have not tried for any CLI's as of yet, since my cards are just about 6 months old. I am thinking about the Altitude Reserve, but will wait a few more months. Last visit to the branch, was told I was preapproved for the Premier Lineo of Credit, didn't take the offer, but always nice to have the preapproval.
And as a side note, I have had nothing but great customer service from the, both via phone and in branch.

Related to the US Bank Premiere Line of Credit, the range is $5K to $25K. They issue and Access Card (works exactly the same as a US Bank Platinum Visa Card) with actual Checks and the ability to transfer funds internally or externally depending on your needs. Also, you can use it as a checking overdraft line of credit. No fuss with the credit product. The PLOC is run out of the credit card part of US Bank. The actual US Bank Reserve Lines of Credit Overdraft are run out of the banking side.

@Definately a relationship bank. 4 cards, two checking accounts and a long history with them. I've had auto cli's on my cards, and highest starting limit with the Alt Reserve @ 29k. They solicite me with offers often. I use BOA also, and would say card limit growth is much faster with them. I'm at my limit threshold with BOA (76k), but feel that I can still grow with USB (58k).
What are the advantages of having a checking account with USB (rather than any of the internet banks for example)? In the early days, the Cash + got enhanced reward rates if you have a Gold/Plat checking account, but that went away. Interest rates on the platinum seem to be 0.01%, whereas you can get checking accounts that offer 1%
