Anyone recently able to get Barclays SP CLI?..

I have been able to get an APR reduction, but cannot get transferred to anyone for SP consideration. When calling back door they say only hard pull options. Just wondering if something has changed and if only auto or hard pulls with them now.

Thanks  creditguy I knew this was the general rule, but it used to be where you could get soft pulls. I guess I will have to wait for automatics.

Yeah, I just read through the comments and I see where one person (TheManWhoCan) reports this:

Barclays is also a SP if you call and ask for a APR reduction first. Once they transfer you to the group that can handle APR reduction, that group can also give a SP CLI.

It sounds like this is what you were thinking of and trying for.  That particular post is from over two years ago (July 2015) so it is possible that Barclays stopped doing that a while back.  It sounds like even back then they still did a hard pull for most CLI requests.

I got one recently along with an APR decrease....by doing exactly that. Calling in for a reduction and then inquiring about an increase.

I was able to get one a few months ago on my Rewards Card.   I would just try calling in periodically and asking if you have any offers on your account.   Sometimes, it just takes a while.
