Anyone with experience with HSBC req'ments for CL increase?

They won't do a soft pull for me.  I'm always talking to someone in India who (i) knows what a soft pull is and says they can't do it or (ii) has no idea what I'm talking about.  I don't want a hard pull if I'm going to get declined.  I have a $500 CL now.  No late payments.  I've been a few dollars over the limit in recent past.

Have you tried their backdoor number yet?  I am always told on the phone "we may pull a current report, blah blah blah" but then one CSR at the backdoor number said that they are just required to say that and it won't actually result in a hard inq.  I don't know if she was stating her personal experience or a fact, but the 3 CLIs I got last month were all not even a soft pull.  Good luck.

What is the current backdoor phone number?   I've tried several of the numbers listed on the backdoor #'s thread and have not been successful in getting through.   Feel free to PM it if you don't want to give it out in public
