I have one more itch possibly before I enter the garden to app for the SW card because of the AWESOME sign-up bonus.
I fly SW a lot; however, I would most likely switch this card to a regular Sapphire and let it sit when it's second annual fee comes due next year. I would then move most of the SW limit to my CSP which I use for much more than my $5k limit. Plus, the CSP and SW card get 2x points on SW flights regardless, so the point value is the same.
My question is: what do you think my odds are of getting approved for this card as I have just recently apped for the CSP, BCP, and Hyatt in the past 2 months. One thing to note is that I made all of my Chase statements cut on the 1st of the month, so the Hyatt or CSP have not reported to my credit report yet. I called Chase and they said that the two cards will not report to my credit report until August 1st. Would it be more beneficial to just ask for CLI on my CSP for the hard pull?
I currently have 10 inquiries on my CR--7 will fall off in September/December. I do not want to app for another card for two years after this because I plan on getting a mortgage/graduating law school. Fico score reported at 724 on my final app with the BCP.

Honestly...I don't find the odds that favorable. The fact that you were approved for 2 Chase cards within 2 months makes it quite difficult to get a 3rd approval in such a short time. Not to mention that at this point you have a total of 3 Chase Cards and no one really knows what your internal Chase limit is. The last thing you would want is to spook Chase and they close your accounts. I would honestly wait and move your credit lines around if you so desire. After you build more history with the 2 additional Chase cards they may increase your lines and/or maximum exposure limit. I wouldn't risk the AA, burning an inq, etc for a sign up bonus since you will already have to meet a pretty heavy spend for the CSP + Hyatt bonuses. You wouldn't want to overspend and get into debt just to meet the minimum requirements. Good Luck and keep us updated on what you decide.

This would ultimately depend on your income, credit standing/newly opened accounts/inquiries and whether you may have reached any internal limit/ceiling with them - which may point at the moment based on the information you have shared. If you have recently been approved for CSP and Hyatt, there may be a strong possibility (if not immediately approved) that convincing an analyst to approve you for a fourth Chase CC product (with 2 recently opened) in such a short time frame. Whether or not it has reported to the CRAs, their internal records will see the other 2 newly opened accounts.
Another item to keep in mind, you cannot PC a co-branded product (e.g. SW) to another non-cobranded one. They would need to be in the same product family for a PC (Freedom, CSP/CS and Slate are within the same family, albeit the CS/CSP would be exception approval or PC from the other 2).
As anyone's outcome will vary, best of luck either way!

I totally understand your hesitancy, as I have the same. I will probably hold off.
I have already met the Hyatt and CSP bonuses. Although I am in law school, I am very fortunate to have a great job at a firm that grants me ~$50k/year because I can work during summer and the school year. I also receive help from my parents who pay for rent/utilities. I don't overly spend and rarely have balances show.
Thanks for your help!!!!
The internal limit is killer. Whyy why why can we not know?!

Thanks for this information; I did not know this, and it is extremely helpful. Does this mean that it would be transferable between another co-branded card? Or just between the different SW cards Chase offers?
Jenny, based on what you have posted, I think you should wait for 6 months until you app again. At this point in time I do not think they will approve your app because I would think they would want to see some more history and usage before granting you a fourth card. Your income is enough to get you approved, but I think if you wait a little bit and let your newer accounts age, you'll likely get apporved. I currently have the SW RR Plus (I should have applied for the RR Premier, but I am a rather infrequent flier, so this version is better for me I guess.) and it is an excellent card with more then enough limit. That's my 0.2

Sounds good! Thanks for the info! I would like the Premiere too, especially if I ended up keeping it for the 6k yearly bonus. However, I do not have a business. Some day!
Honestly, I didn't think I was going to get approved for it since I had recently got approved for a Freedom card a month earlier, but I am glad that they did approve me. The Premier is good, but I fly about 3-4 times with them so I didn't think the premier would have been worth it. I do have my eye on the Marriott Premier when I app again in December however. Only thing that scares me is my income is going to be about 18-20k so Idk if they'll approve me then, but I shall see. If you have your heart set out on getting the card, you might as well pull the trigger and see what happens, you'll only lose an inquiry in the process. Good luck in what you decide to do.

The Marriott has a great reward system as well. I opted for the Hyatt because most of my conferences are always around a Hyatt, and they treat their rewards members very well. (I've already been upgraded for a stay this weekend!)
My deal is is that I do not want to app anymore for a while because I want all of my inquiries to be clear in exactly 2 years. I thought I was done with the Hyatt/BCP, but I fly SW about 6-8 times a year commuting between home and school, or school and conferences. I have 6 upcoming flights for the rest of the year still and looking to book spring break next Spring in New York to use my free Hyatt nights. I actually don't fly anyone else except SW unless International of course or Hawaii. Their RR program is great!
