Apped for AMEX Hilton Surpass

I am not sure why I did this now. I got the "We will let you know" message, and then the status is showing as "In Process".  I hope I didn"t make a big mistake.  I need to book several nights of Hilton hotels and wanted the points. Now I am scared.

Starting Score: 693 TU FICO, 679 EQ FICO
Current Score: FICO 8 = 844(9/15) EQ, 827 TU, 811 EX (7/15); mortgage FICO= 758 (9/15)EQ5, 797 TU4, 748 EX2 (7/15)
Goal Score: 750+, but shooting for the 800's

Well you are already an Amex customer so wouldn't it just be a soft pull if you were declined?

Well, it still says" in progress" on the AMEX check your app status page.  I went to my EX CR and checked and I have a HP, which I "think" means I am approved. AMEX still only HP's when they approve you, right?

 

 I am hoping they are just verifying my HHonors number or something.  I want to book a 6N stay, and 9X points is a lot better reward.

Because I am a big chicken! I am afraid of hearing bad news....  even when I am fairly sure the news is good.
