Today I applied for the apple barclaycard and was approved for $1200, Which is great cause I was looking for another card with a higher credit limit other then my AMEX well I continue to rebuild. I have read a lot on here about Barclay being very sensitive to any type of credit activity at least during the first six months. My question is the Discover card I have had for three months is still not reporting on my Transunion report and im sure is going to pop up any day now so do you think it is going to cause any problem for Barclay even know my Discover limit is very small.
just for reference
My current EX score is 661 and my current EQ score is 667...
Transunion according to Credit Karma is a 591 and my last Discover statement says it was at 610 but is still not updated like the other two with my Discover account as well as my updated lower balance from a month ago on one of my other credit cards.
Thanks in advance
IMHO I don't see one account as a worry/problem and congrats
don't let the "possibility" of some negative action of a bank dictate what is good for you and your credit overall.... if you need or want another credit card or to use your current cards, use them... if barclay has an issue... better to find out now and be done with it... but I wouldn't worry about it... it's way over concerned about on here.
i had 3 new accounts land after barclays a few months ago with scores similar to yours and no news from them yet. i am so early on the path that i will listen to the prior replies (thanks guys, i needed that). at the rate barclay gave me, i hope that card will be SD'd in a year anyway. smart and happy spending

Thanks everyone for the reply.. And I agree 100% im not going to worry about the possibility of adverse action.. If they decide at any period in time they are unhappy with me and decide to cancel or lower my CL then more power to them..

lol if your worried about only 1 new account then I guess I should be terrified for adding 7 new accounts including Barclay all within the same month (this May). What's more, ALL 7 are already showing up on my file as of today. And as I learned an 8th account might be making its way to my file by July... we shall see how Barclay reacts to my situation.
