YTD I've spent between $3k-$3.5k on it and have paid it back. Yet my denial is "Your recent payments on Apple did not cover a significant portion of your monthly balance."
Guess Apple doesn't love me...
oh well, to the sock drawer it goes... got other options in my wallet to free up the space.
Might be a silly question but do you have an installment on your Apple card? The verbiage of your denial leads be to believe you might have one

Nope- no installments. I thought about getting the iPhone 14 on it, but very little that $1250 will help with, unfortunately.

How long did it take you to get your credit limit on the card to $25K? Did you have a lot of installments to get bumps or spend a lot over a month or a few?
I'd really like to get my limit to $10K. It's at $7K right now. I have 2 installments that are only 15% of my utilization, so going to put more of my spending in Q1 next year on it to get my utilization up. May finance another Apple device too.

I've heard that Goldman likes to see high utilization. Are you spending a good chunk of that limit monthly?

I was approved for my card in July of 2021, for $10k. I put spend through it and was granted a CLI (by request) in November of 2021 to $15k.
My wife applied for her own Apple card in December 2021 ($10k) and we decided to combine the accounts.
Since we combined, I've not received a CLI. And we've put some good spend through

Just some data points for Apple credit card have 10K limit only spend 2 dollars each month and once while 15 to 20 dollars on apple audio books and pay it off before it reports to cloud. This morning I requested credit increase got an email that they increase the limit by 500 dollars called in to see if they could review increase said I wanted even 1K to 11K. I was told that no and I would need to wate 181 days. It looks like in some cases even though you don't spend much they are giving small increase to keep you happy. In the past would be turned down for increases reason not enough use of your existing credit limit. It has been in the news that GS has been having big looses then other credit credit companys and banks.
Fine with me if they want to make CLIs harder. It's a cool card... in that it's heavy, looks neat and sounds **bleep** cool when you drop it. Outside of that, I can name a better card for nearly all use.
It does serve it's one purpose, right now that's 0% on my AW Ultra and being the one card I let report a balance. Outside of Apple purchases though, it gets little to no use.
I'm certainly not going to throw $10K/mo at it to get a decent CLI when I can put that spend elsewhere and get a nice return. I'd rather use another card and get those points/cash back.
I really like the card, the interface, and I own almost exclusively Apple tech. I just wish the card was more competitive.

As a data point...
I messed around with the card early on to get a decent CL. My last big one (double my limit) was paying off my iPhone 13 Pro Max and Macbook Pro 16" Max in the same month. I believe I went from around 90% Util to 0%. They doubled my limit (roughly) about a week after I paid it off.
You're correct, they like high util. Like I said above, I just can't see putting the spend on this card to push it above where I'm at now. That said, I may stupidly do that with my Discover, just because it's limit is depressing and begging for a CLI with almost no spend isn't working lol. ![]()
Am I missing out on something lol. Been seen so many CLI talks about Apple Card... I just got my Apple Card like a month ago, they gave me $7k, and that's more than enough for me since I'm only using it on App store... and Apple hardware. What's the big deal about CLI. I have like 17 credit cards and never asked for CLI - I pay everything in full every month, usually they just give it to me after 6 months.
Circling back to this, did you receive the CLI this month like you planned?
