When I first got the iPhone Wallet app there was a limit of 8 cards that could be added. One slot was automatically being taken up by the Apple Cash card.
A few years later it was increased I believe to 12 cards. In 2021, with the introduction of iOS 15, the new limit was increased to 16 cards. I currently am running iOS version 17.6.1.
This week I kept adding cards and today I was successful in adding my 26th card (1 slot is the Apple Cash card). I'm starting to run out of cards to test!😂 Glad they have increased the amount of cards that the mobile wallet can hold!😃
Oh I love hearing this news, thank you. Makes it much easier to prevent the inactivity closures on my accounts.
Plus I'm not going to lie, it's satisfying seeing a loaded apple wallet lol

@Hawaiianguy things have changed. I believe last year they increased the total number of cards drastically. They perhaps even removed a hard cap limit, as I keep adding cards and have yet to get a message that no more cards can be added, like I used to receive once I would reach the cap. I had been using the mobile wallet since before 2021 and the amount of cards you could add was a lot less than it is now. It was around 8 cards and that would include the Apple Cash card.
