Hi all,
Wondering if Apple and Discover are soft pulls or hard pulls.
Apple has regular activity, opened almost 21 months ago with an installment that is almost paid off. Low level but regular use and always pay more than due to pay off regular use each month.
Discover is an odd one. They have me card with a 6K limit. I forgot about it (and lost the card in the house) and at the 1 year they closed it. I called to reopen but due to "lost" card (even though it NEVER left our home), they closed it then gave us a new one with a $500 limit because they said we had a paid/charge off in our past. We actually don't remember having a charge off with them, but it that was the reason how did we get the 6K limit in the first place? So it's been about 5 mo, and we thought we would either call them to discuss the CL or just request a credit limit increase- suggestions here?
Mine were HP for new accounts and SP for all CLI requests.

Ditto.
Both are soft pulls. Both you can request in app.
For CLIs both are generally SP. Just chat with an Apple rep and ask him/her to check for you.

The GS Apple Card is a SP when you initially apply. If you accept their offer (SL and Int Rate) for the card then they do a HP at that point. It's that way for everyone. All future CLI request are SP's however.
Discover is a SP for PRE-Qualf but again a HP if you are pre-approved/Qualf and then app from there.
For me when I had Discover prior to my BK it was hard pull to app for the card and credit limit increases were soft pulls.

Discover is SP, can't speak in regards to Apple.
Also--make sure you try it from both the app and the desktop site. I've had times where the app denied me, but the desktop site approved. Could have just been a funky glitch in the system, but can't hurt.
