In an attempt to build my credit history I set up an Applied Bank secured card back in September. This was my first, and currently my only CC. I applied because it required the lowest amount down to begin the credit building process. The fees and such didn't sway me since there was never a plan to use it often enough to run into problems with the charges.
Problem:
Applied Bank advertised themselves (and still do) as a company that reports to all three bureaus. I am yet to have an update posted to Equifax. I read in one post that someone else has run into the same difficulty with Applied, but cannot find any resolution information on it. I am curious if anyone knows why? Perhaps it is because of my slightly less than four month CC history? Perhaps they have a quarterly update? Perhaps Appied Bank no longer deals with them and have simply neglected to inform their consumers?
Impatiently pulling out my hair awaiting an EQ update

u are 100 %. i been with them since 07, i looked back on my report since then and i dont see it reporting on EQ.....we will have to look in to that....
I am aware of the differences in wording and possibilities of misunderstanding of it.
I specifically chose this card though because they said, everywhere on the site, that they reported to all three major bureaus. The current ad on their site is written very differently than the card I signed up for in September.
So, my concern, since I KNOW people (outside of the forums) that have the EXACT same card I do and it reports to ALL THREE, is how do I get mine to? I know I am not the only person with this problem here on the boards, I just haven't found any one that has an answer as to why yet.
Hi Carefree!
Have you tried calling the Applied Bank customer service and asking them about this? If so, what was their response?

Yes, I have spoken with Applied about the matter. They were extremely polite, but of little help. The gentleman I spoke with indicated that the company only reports to EX and TU. He also said that they never have reported with EQ at any time since they changed from Cross Country. I questioned why I my ex-husband's reports to all three, and why a collegue of mine has his also reporting to all three.... to which the gentlemans response was 'uh, I really don't know.'
So, yea... I got no where with them, but he was atleast honest and polite
