I was able to get one with an 720 score last year but not before asking for copies of my W-2, and 2 most recent checkstubs. In addition, I wrote and included a letter in detail on why I wanted to do business with them. yeah I know the letter was overkill (they didnt ask for it) but felt I needed to do so they'd take me seriously. My CR was a clean CR when I app'd last year with little INQ and about 15% UT. I thought the UT & score wasnt going to be good enough but they were mostly concerned with verifying my salary.

If y'all don't mind me asking.. What's so good about them besides them being super conservative?
Low APR

Is low APR the only thing?  My thing is if you PIF then APR isn't that great of a concern.

Or you could just find a credit union that offers an even lower APR + rewards, such as SDFCU.

Amex ED $19.5k - BoA Travel Rewards $15k - CSP $5k - SDFCU EMV $15k - NFCU goRewards $20k - Barclays Arrival $6.5k

Re: Applied for Simmons First

If you're in DFW (EDS) Intouch CU has one for 7.75% fixed and if you're in Austin then you could get one w/ University FCU and their lowest fixed rate is 6.9% for a EQ FICO over 730.
