Applied for a Chevron card yesterday

Just wondering if anyone knows  how long it takes for approval.  I have been reading the boards, trying to figure out what is best to get my scores up.  I read that Chevron is a good one to have.  I pulled up my equifax score and report the other day and it's almost empty.  There are just a few really old things on there.  My score with eq is 546.  I went ahead and applied for the card, then pulled up my TU report.  It now says that GEMb is a creditor!  I wonder if that means I was approved?

My husbands score is better than mine for equifax at 571.  I didn't get to pull his TU one because I forgot his password and it froze the account.  I applied for a Hooters card for him, but was instantly denied.  Oh well.  We are going to both get BofA secured cards next month and hopefully that will bring things up a bit.

If it shows up as a positive/new account then it must mean you are approve. And BoA secured IS the best way to get scores up. Normally they unsecure at around 9 months (maybe a year but 9 months seems to be the standard)

At this point all I can say is good luck. My scores are in the mid 600"s and they turned me down for a Chevron card. Maybe because I had a couple late payments still showing on my reports?

are they listed as a new inquiry, or a new account? if they are listed as a creditor in the inquiry section of the report, they have pulled your report and will report as a new account if approved.

Good Luck....they denied me with Eq 651 and pulled my credit 2 days in a row..needless to say I was not amused.

Chevron posted to all 3 CRA before i even recieved my card. Thats how i knew i was approved. I recieved an alert from EQ and Bamm there it was.
