Saks is HSBC, they probably pulled equifax.  What are you scores, stats, etc?

Probably not a good sign, at Neiman Marcus (also backed by HSBC) if you applied in store you got decision right then, if it was iffy we had to call in to have it manual reviewed on the spot.  I probably would have made them call while you were there.

Side note....

I have Best Buy Mastercard platinum and an HSBC 2% Cash back card.  Could I even apply for Saks and/or Neiman?  I know HSBC has a max card limit thingy....

The max card limit with HSBC does not include store cards. I use to have orchard, household, saks and neimans

Cool, thanks!  Although I am not sure I want to get stuck with another 3 digit limit, ugh HSBC...
