Quick question, I get e-mails from Chase all the time with offers "Thank you for being a valued Chase customer. Apply by December 5 2018 and get 50,000 points". This e-mail doesn't have an invitation code, if I click Apply it goes to Chase website like anybody else. Should I apply since I'm over 5/24 or just ignore the e-mails? How about if I get one with invitation code, do I get a chance even I'm over 5/24?
Thanks in advance.

The only sure way to get around the 5/24 rule is through an in-branch pre-approval. So my suggestion is to go to a branch and ask a personal banker if you have any pre-approvals. A teller might be able to tell you too but you'll still need to see the PB to make the application.
You can safely ignore the emails. BTW, have you checked the pre-qualified website or the mobile app to see if you have any green checkmark offers?
Thanks for suggestions. I did check the pre-qualified website and there are no offer for me. Next step will be a branch.

Did you check for green checkmark offers while logged in? I've gotten the same emails both when I have and have not had a single APR preapproval in my account.
Yes, checked that and no offers. I'll keep check it, but I'll give it a try with a branch.
Those emails that invite you to apply come from the bank's marketing department, and they don't know your 5/24 status, so treat them like a highway billboard aimed at every car that drives by. The two things that count are the green check mark on your account and the in-branch pre-approval.
have not read through this thread but a branch pre-approval is not 100%, I am living proof of this. under 4/24, pre-approval right on the monitor at the branch and it went pending and later denied. did a recon a few times and they were unspecific other than the app was dead and that I could reapply which I did, a cold app a few months later worked.
