Coming up on my 61 day CLI for Amex. I have 3 HPs on my Experian credit report. Have 9 credit cards that will soon be 8 once I close a BofA with an AF($1000 limit). Would apping for Discover It be a bad thing, or should I wait until end of year or early next year?

What do your scores look like?

IMO. No point to wait. I just received card today. Just like you.

I got. 9 cards. Now 10 with discover. Your scores much higher than mine. I would do it same day I got my amex increase.

I would just wait until you make your Amex CL request, then apply for Discover (because the sweetest deal with Discover is the 4th quarter, you don't want to wait until January).

I would 100% wait to apply for discover it. Reason being in nov/dec they have a great sign up bonus.

Why Amex's CLI requests are Soft pulls so Amex will just use the last Soft pull they did which they do regularly.
