I still considering the app spree I will be conducting at the end of the year. At first I was going to just apply for 2 cards (Quicksilver Visa & Blue Cash Everyday). All this time that I have until applying has me constantly reevaulating my plan. I now want to add the Freedom to that list. I'm unsure of how my thin file will handle 3 inquires. I'm an AU on my fiance's BOA card that has been open 2.5 years with a 2500 limit and my Discover has a 1500 limit and has been open for 9 months. My TU FICO is 776 ( I'm assuming EQ is the same, it has the same info reporting, inquires and all) and my Discover score card-EX is a 787. I wanted to get an opinon on whether my thin file can support applying for three cards in one sitting.
Thanks!
When you say "thin file", exactly how old is your credit file?

1.9 years. That includes the AU.
I would suggest to wait until you have 1 full year of credit history in your own name - since your Discover is 9 months, it sounds as if your own individual credit history is 9 months.
Wait 3 more months until your personal credit history hits one year and then apply for the cards you seek, for best chances of success. Good luck!

Yeah, my plan is to apply at the end of the year, which is when I reach 1 year with my discover card.
I'm sure you can land a capone or any of the other CC's you mentioned with your clean credit history. Everyone starts with a "thin file" so dont let that cliche become a scare tactic. One or two HP's is minimal unless you are applying for a mortgage or another large amount of credit.
