Applying for Amex

Just recently got back in the good graces for Amex.  Now I need to know how to proceed.  I have a Amex Hilton ($1000 limit).  I am also going to app for SPG Amex.  Should I app for blue or plat also?  What is max Amex cards you can have?  Is it one hard pull?  Will definitely use the hotel cards but also want an everyday points card.

Once you have one Amex card all other applications will be a soft pull.

Not necessarily true. Profile dependant as many have still received a hard pull for new cards even with previous Amex cards.

Again not sure this is 100% accurate as some people have gotten  more  revolvers than 4.

you are incorrect on the amounts..it's widely known it's 5 revolvers and unlimited chargers.

Me personally I have 5 revolvers (they called me the other day and told me i was at my max and explained to me how it works) and 8 chargers.

It sure can be a plus already having an Amex . The chances of getting further cards via sp do go up and i always am happy to get one without a hard pull but knowing its a possibilty lessons the pain if i got one for soliciting credit
