Applying for Cards & Secured Graduation

Hey all,

I was wondering (and was unable to google my way out unfort) if applying for new credit card(s) and/or opening new credit card(s) will have any negative impact on current secured cards graduating?

I applied and was approved for an Amex Blue, bringing my card count up to 3. I'm a bit worried since I'm near the 7th statement on both of my secured cards it will effect my graduation potentials.

No, it shouldn't. The only issue I could see is if you started carrying a very high utlization on the new cards.

Howdy! No, it should not hurt your other cards at all. The purpose of getting a secured card is to get your credit to a place where you can apply for an actual Credit Card. If you are in AMEX territory now, I would not be concerned with the secured cards anymore. Your scores are good enough now to look at other interesting cards, like:

Capital One QS1

Citi Double Cash

SPG AMEX

Gold Delta Skymiles

You are on the right track. Keep it up! WHOOO HOOOO!!! Smiley Happy
