I was approved for both within days of each other

I was also approved for Freedom/CSP back to back days. Pulled TU for me my score was 709.

Starting Scores (7/12) - Exp:547, Equ:526, TU:529
Current Scores - Exp:654 (7/18), Equ: 657 (8/8), TU:703 (7/18)
Cap1QS $4.5k | Barclays Rewards MC $2k | Barclays US Airways World MC $7,500 | CSP $5,000 | Freedom $4,500

I applied for the Chase Freedom in June, i was just approved for the CSP. In between that time i was approved for the Chase Slate and 3 Amex Cards and a Barclay Rewards. If you are not worried about an inquiry, give it a try.
