It's good to see that you actually do research before wasting inquiries for nothing. Smart move buddy!

Re: Applying for an unsecured Credit Card

That's kind of my nature!

But, I still don't know what my credit score is. What does chase pull from? How do I know it?

When I asked citi, they refused to tell me that.

Regarding who lenders pulled: sign up for Credit Karma and Credit Sesame's monitoring, that covers TU and EX respectively.  If your inquiry doesn't land on one of those two, it's likely on EQ and that covers the bases.

Re: Applying for an unsecured Credit Card

Thanks. I signed up for them. It is 729 and 754 respectively! How do I know EQ score? Is it better if I know it?

Chase enquiry was from TU.

Chase enquiry was from TU.

The scores on both those sites aren't worth the pixels they take up on the screen with regards to any lender approval.  They're both strictly educational use only, with the minor exception of the Vantage score found on CK which a very small number of lenders may use.  Knowing one's actual FICO may help but unfortunately there's no guaruntee that the lender wil pull identically the one you know; however, it's a useful barometer for where you stand in my opinion.

Re: Applying for an unsecured Credit Card

You can see the cards that I have in my signature. I am thinking of getting into AMEX Club. (Not sure why Smiley Very Happy)

The AMEX in my mind is Delta Gold. I am not able to justify the annual fee of $95. I am an international student and I fly home once a year. I have used Delta all along and it is the best deal that I get from my city. I have aroud 22k SkyMiles (I know it is not a lot, but hey, I can book two days of car rental with it!) and I checked the SkyMiles marketplace to find that I can 'Pay with miles' only if I have a Gold (or higher) Delta AMEX card. My domestic flying is limited. 1-2 flights per year if anything. I am a PhD student and have an income of around 20k per year. I will be flying home and collecting SkyMiles gradually but I won't be able to use it.

In a dilemma...
