If you are going to double up with chase and are under 5/24 , best plan of action is CSR+CSP since you can get both at once and you would not be allowed to get them normally due to one sapphire rule. You will have to google the way to do it. Once you do that when CSP AF is about to hit next year you can downgrade that to the freedom.

Even if possible, you still need some caveats, mainly can the OP meet the spend on both cards in the same period?

I believe you can still do it if the churning subreddit is any indication, but yes meeting the spend could be problematic for some people. I was thinking for best overall value with your HP.

Re: Applying for new Chase cards...

OP should still use the Chase prequalify page and if they're prequalified for the trifecta, with their high limit on one card I bet they will get the CSR on apping.

Re: Applying for new Chase cards...

You guys have been extremely helpful. I’m going to prequal on Chase then hopefully apply for the Reserve assuming the preapproval goes well.

One last thing to clarify. I paid down a good chunk of my balance this month on my Quicksilver, and my statement date is tomorrow, 11/13. From reading this forum, it looks like Cap1 usually reports to the three bureaus within a couple of business days of your statement date. Is this correct?

Re: Applying for new Chase cards...

My Cap1 reports really quickly -- I just had a statement cut yesterday and can update this thread when it updates, but I believe it's 2-3 days, not sure how the weekend affects it, though.
