Ah good to know thanks.
Thank you Bichon, I appreciate it.
They are a fabulous bank to do business with and this CL will allow me to close Cap One.
Congrats on your success! This is my first reply on this website. I couldn't resist the temptation not to reply because your situation closely mirrors mine. I was in the low 500s two years ago. My scores are 711 EQ (myfico.com), 705 TU (myfico.com) 720 TU (Walmart), 686 EX (Experian.com), 766 EX (truecredit.com). My question to you is what other cards did you have before you applied for the USAA card? What were there limits? Currently I have a Capital One card that started with a $500 limit two years ago. Now I'm at a $3200 limit. All my other cards range from $300 - $1500 limits. All of which have low utl. I am desperately trying to not apply for anything else because I don't want to do it if I am going to get anything less than a 5k limit.
Here are my cards with limits that I had prior to applying:
Capital One Platinum Visa-$5,500
Amex BCE-$4,000-This is not reporting yet as I was just approved on March 1st.
Best Buy-$2,000
Shell-$600-Just a regular Shell Drive for 5
HSBC Direct Rewards Discover-$300-This was a consolation prize three years ago when Discover wouldn't approve me.
Jared-$10,000
I will be dropping Capital One and the HSBC card soon to avoid any further AF.
Anyone know what exactly is the difference between this and the active duty card? I went on the website and saw that they were almost identical. The active duty card has a few benefits that make it amazing as a resolving account if you deploy or move.
