AAoA – 6.5 Years
Oldest Account - 11 years
Oldest Account as AU from father - 18 years reported on CR
Total CL - 37K reported on CR
(I have 15 total revolvers reported on CR: 10 is mine & 5 as AU from father). I’ll list 3 relevant cards:
Highest CL – Citi 14.5K (Fathers)
Highest CL – Citi 5K (Mine)
Chase Slate – 1K (Mine)
Father does not have a Chase card therefore my only relationship with Chase is my Slate.
UTIL - 8K used out of 37K = 22%
Of that 8K balance, 6K of it is mine out of 10K of my own CL.
EQ FICO 745
Baddies: none ever for both me and father’s account.
So my main question/concern is: Overall on the CR, all I see is 8K of 37K = 22% UTIL.
Will Chase know that $6K of that is mine? Or will they just see the overall big picture and see my UTIL at 22%?
Obviously if the latter, it will help with my approval. If the former, I probably don’t have a shot…
Thank you for your time...
I think you'll be fine for any of those cards. None of them are particularly hard to get IMO, as long as you have sufficient income.

They will see both. Your FICO is helped by the AU cards. 60% util isn't good. Chase has internal scoring as well as FICO. Not sure what your FICO would look like without AU cards. Any baddies? The issue for you will be if you can hit any visa sig requirements of 5k as your highest is 5k. Have you thought about getting off as AU? You would get better idea what your real FICO is
I definitely don't want to get off as AU cause I don't want my FICO to drop. No baddies. So I guess that means Chase's internal scoring will see my utilization and not my total utilization. Hmmh.
Thanks for the responses. I don't know which I want. I think Club but its the hardest to get of the 3, yeah?

Chase usually will discount your AU history. It stands to reason that CLs associated with them will not be counted in your favor leaving just your higher util. Besides the supposed $5k requirement for signature, the Explorer's min CL is $2k that might be an option.
You might want to check the pre-qual website.
+1. I missed the AU info in the OP's first post, so that might change your odds.
OP: Do you have Mileage Plus status by chance? All 3 are great cards, but if it comes down to Explorer vs. Club it really depends on how often you're flying United. Club card introductory offer isn't all that great and the first year isn't waived unless you have an RSVP code. CSP gives you the best sign up offer in my opinion, but I think there may also be a 50k offer around (Google is your friend) and United miles have pretty high value compared to AA, DL, US.
I think you're highly likely to get whichever card you decide on. The Club card probably has higher requirements because it usually gives a higher limit.
Waht was your utilization when you applied for the Slate? I'd guess that the CL (and APR) on the Slate are probably a clue. Chase would only approve me for a low CL Slate when my utilization was high.
