**bleep**, what happened to my reading comprehension? I just saw GE was the bank. I thought this card was only issued by chase, thats why I mentioned the freedom card. Im not a  loon yet!

I wonder which card I should try for, there is still a chase amazon as well. I would like a CL of at least $1500.

My understanding is that there is an Amazon Visa card issued by Chase and there is an Amazon store card (only able to use on Amazon) issued by GEMB.

Correct

Re: Approved For Amazon Store Card

I pulled the trigger for the Chase card, and got the  30 day message. I would have probably had better luck with the GEMB store card. The Inq is already on my file, so Im going to have to wait and see what happens. I have a bad feeling Im going to regret this app, but the GE card was insane nuts on APR.

Re: Approved For Amazon Store Card

The store card does have high interest but I have never paid any in the 9 months that I've had mine.  They have a lot of no payment, no interest deals for 90 days to 6 months and even longer sometimes.  I always pay in full before the statement to keep my utilization down but it's nice to know that on many items you could revolve a balance without paying any interest.  Over all it's not a bad card.

In fairness to them I have to add that their interest is a lot lower than some of the Citi cards have been increased to.

That is pretty good considering that the vast majority of store cards out there really suck in terms of interest rates.

Re: Approved For Amazon Store Card

Yeah the interest rate on the store card is high but I will try hard not to carry a balance. Chase is a hard cookie to crack so I would not evan attempt to apply for one of there cards unless my CR was super clean. GE has been very good to me so far....Smiley Happy

Re: Approved For Amazon Store Card

i was initially denied for chase visa amazon.

app the following year and was approved...  the amazon card is supposedly one of their easier cards to qualify for.

with many of their other cards' rewards programs being diluted, right now, it is probably one of the best rewards cards offered by chase.
