I Applied 0n 12/10/09 and got that 15 day thing as well they pulled TU on 12/12/09 then not one thing no call, email, or post mail then on 12/26/09 they pulled TU agene okay on 12/30/2009 I called and was told by the rep: that she can't see anything on me to call back on Monday so I called back and was told I should have received a letter and today still nothing in the mail can someone tell me what they think of this..
Join the club. I had to apply like five times and they kept saying they showed no record. But today I call and NOW they see all of the apps. I got a letter in the mael today that they have my app from the first time I applied but it has no address. But HOW COULD THEY SEND ME THE LETTER IF THEY DID NOT HAVE MY ADDRESS......Hilarious. I talked to them also today and they took my phone number and said they would call me back. Guess what? No call and they left for the day at 4pm. I am letting thm call me.....I am tired....lol I have worked hard for this car and they better approve me! I don't care for how much at this point.
It sounds like their operation is experiencing -- to put it kindly -- severe growing pains. I really hope your experience is not an indication of what to expect in the way of customer service and account management.
On a side note, I noticed that the return address they use on the card mailer is the same one used by Merrick Bank and First Premier. Is there a chance that being a relatively new bank Nationwide has outsourced their credit card operations to those shysters?

@timber wrote:Just to help everyone understand Nationwide Bank (a.k.a. NW) a little better... I used to work at NW in IT a few years back on the insurance side. They are a work in progress... they took their employee credit union and converted it to bank status to provide financial services along side their insurance products nationwide, hence their name. They received federal bank charter status back in 2007 and approval from the credit union members to convert to a bank. The credit union no longer exists... everything is now Nationwide Bank, but they still have some cleaning up to do. That is why you may see CRA reporting as credit union. Also their help screens still refer to older online banking info like the "cardmemberservices.com" link under credit cards... Chase used to service their credit cards under the credit union, but no longer. Their new credit card servicer is the same one used by Merrick Bank or some of us here also know as Hooter's MC. You go through the NW Banking site to login, then click on your credit card account number, which is a link that opens a new tab/window for the account detail UI.
RE: CRA reporting... my Visa was opened around 12/1 and is also reporting only on TU and EQ, but not EX. I talked to friend that works at NW Financial, who also has their Visa and said that they do indeed report to all 3 CRAs, but it may take a month or so to see all 3.

They did 2 TU pulls??? If the first gave them no info they should remove that inq. I'd ask. I mean...how big of a difference can there be pulling approx 7 ot 10 days apart?? But 2 pulls can ding the FICO, big time.

Nationwide sometimes pulls two reports. I applied on Nov. 30 and they pulled TU. After bugging them almost daily, they requested address verification on Dec. 10th. On Dec. 15th I called and was approved (10K and 7 something %). On Dec. 16 I got an alert of a new inquiry. Lo and behold . . . . Nationwide pulled EX on Dec. 15th.
Maybe it's punitive for being a pest.
Hello All ( Itsmeagain),
